Introduction to OPSEC

OPSEC (Operations Security) is a methodology that denies adversaries the critical information they need to understand your intentions or capabilities.

The 5 Steps of OPSEC:

1. Identify Critical Information: What are you trying to protect?
2. Analyze the Threat: Who is your adversary?
3. Analyze Vulnerabilities: How can the adversary get the information?
4. Assess Risk: What is the impact if the information is lost?
5. Apply Countermeasures: Implement actions to reduce risk.
